As most people on this site have more games in their collection than just football manager, I will point you in the direction of a few great sales for some general games:

1) The humble Indie Bundle


This ‘Bundle’ is a collection of indie games (with the exception of the THQ bundle which was done to try and help them financially). This is the 7th Bundle and includes a variety of games including notably:


Now for the pricing this is you can pay what you want, but to unlock all of the content you just have to pay $6.41 (at the time of reading this). You then can assign how much of what you pay goes to Charity, the developers of the games, and the people who bring you the humble bundle.

This is DRM free! And can be downloaded or you can type in the codes for steam.

Its not DRM free but its steam so most of you guys will be more familiar with this form of sale I guess.

3) GOG


Right so GOG is a online store in which games from ages ago are essentially re-written so that they are compatible for computers today as some just won’t run on current systems, they also are behind the ‘witcher’ series.

Now they have a sale going on until January 3rd, this incudes daily sales and the like.
This is DRM free also, and they are a ton of decent games, such as the Witcher 2 for $11.99 which is a steal.

As you might know, Genie Scout 13 had a couple of known issues until now. Sale value for players didn't work and also certain club information either didn't work or the data was not accurate. Eugene dedicated a few days during his holiday to address these issues and he made it!

Beta 10 (build 337) is now available, and it's a major update indeed. The first thing you'll notice is that sale value for players is not -1 anymore. It gives an approximate value that the club will accept for the player. It's not 100% accurate yet, but Eugene will keep tweaking his algorithm until it's 100% correct (or close enough at least).

Also all values which were unavailable until now, have been added in this beta: club reputation, balance, transfer budgets and stadium capacity. Few loading data errors have been fixed as well.

Maybe you have experienced it already, but the download buttons didn't work for the last couple of days due to a problem with the server logs which happened while our admins were on short holiday. The same problem prevented our visitors from creating new members accounts.

We have now fixed the issue and you may enjoy using the site to the full again. We agree with you that this was far from optimal, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

The DF11 Facepacks for FM2013 contain over 50,000 faces for all players in 69 playable leagues spread in 40 playable countries.

It's a portrait style facepack that initiated production since October 2010. The player pictures are 245 x 300 pixels big, which is larger than the default size (180 x 180).


This is a stand-alone pack intended for use with FM13, but it will work with all versions of the game from FM10 onward.

Installation Instructions

Step 1

Extract the contents of Megapack 1, 2 and 3.
Move the faces of Megapack 2 and Megapack 3 into Megapack 1 and overwrite when asked!

In order to extract you will need either 7-Zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac.

Step 2

Move the folder with the extracted contents to:
Win Vista/7: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2013\graphics\
Win 2000/XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2013\graphics\
Win 98/ME: C:\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2013\graphics\
Mac OS X: /Users/<username>/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2013/graphics/

Create the folder "graphics" if it doesn't exist.

* If you get the extra updates, move their contents to the DF11 folder and overwrite when asked.

Step 3

Run Football Manager 2013 and go to: Preferences > Interface

Click "Clear Cache" button at the top.
Click "Reload Skin" button at the bottom.

There should be a box that pops up saying 'loading image data for the new skin'. Once this is done your graphics should be working within the game.

Sports Interactive just released the sixth hot-fix update for Football Manager 2013 via Steam. This 13.2.2 patch will help fix some crashing issues and optimize the speed for network games.

To update you will need to close the game down and re-launch for it to update. If this does not work for you or you feel it has not updated you will need to restart Steam.

Once updated the version number will be 13.2.2, more specifically the full version numbers will be:

As with the previous updates:

• It is save game compatible allowing you to continue your current save game.
• There are no database changes, if you start a new game the database number will remain 13.0.0.

Beta 10 has solved all known issues
The major change in beta 10 is the implementation of an experimental Sale Value for players. It gives an approximate value that the club will accept for the player. No, and it won't be possible to make it work this time even if you try using Winebottler or similar. GS13 has been rewritten to work by reading data from memory instead of savegame files because of the lock down of savegames in FM13 by Sports Interactive.

However, we exclusively release a special scouting tool for Mac. You should use that.

How to run:

• Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.
• It will ask if you want to install a free to try software or a free browser toolbar, you can choose not to (simply un-tick the offer check-boxes) and click Next. If you accept though, you are supporting us.
• Follow instructions and hit next until installation is finished.
• Run Football Manager 2013 and load your savegame.
• Launch Genie Scout 13 and from main menu click "Load Game".

That's it! No frameworks required.

Donate to get the "g" edition

Genie Scout 13 comes in two editions. One with ads and one with no ads (we will refer to it as the "g" edition). In order to get the "no ads" one you'll have to donate to Eugene first, using the Donate to Eugene page.

DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION :
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so people will only have to wait a few minutes before they will get a download link and key this year. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID along with the donation.
Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
If Eugene doesn't have his laptop open at the time of donation, it might take up to 24 hours or longer (until he opens it). In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.

Instructions for the First Run

The first time you load the app, it will ask for your password. Please fill it in because it's important that the app will run with root access, otherwise it will quit.

Also the app will try to locate your game's lang_db.dat file automatically. Please, open preferences, by clicking the MacAssistant RT menu bar and then Preferences after you've successfully loaded a game, to make sure that the file was correctly located. If it wasn't, please click on the default path and point it to the correct location. The game, however, can still load fine without it, so you can safely ignore this for now, until all the new features are added.

Bug Reports

MacAssistant RT will also need your help! Due to the fact that I had to completely rewrite the loading engine, it is to be expected that there will be some bugs to hunt down and kill. Reporting any bug you come across is vital, and this will be handled by the new bug tracking system.
So if you find a bug, please file a bug in the issue tracker, and I'll try and fix it as soon as possible.

Feature Requests

You can always request a feature that you want that will make this tool better! Just leave a message in the official MacAssistant RT Forums!
Any doable feature requested will make it in the next release if it's not that time consuming. But if it is, you'll probably have to wait a few releases. It's still gonna be added!

FMRTFE allows you to search for the club of your choice and edit:

This is a very simple editor that allows you to quickly adjust financial information of clubs. It should be safe to use it, but at any case make sure to keep a backup of your savegame before using.

Requirements

► .NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 (standalone offline installer) or higher
To find out if you have .NET Framework 3.5 installed, you can use Framework Detector (free tool).

► Patch 13.2.2 (latest FM13 version)
To use this version of FMRTFE, you must have your game updated with the 13.2.2 Patch.

Please note it won't work with the Russian or Korean versions of the game.

This is FMRTFE for Windows.
We'll be working on a Mac edition and hopefully it will be made available soon.

How to use

1. Extract the downloaded FMRTFE.zip in a folder of your choice.


2. Run Football Manager 2013, and load your save game (or start a new one).


3. Run FMRTFE.exe (ALT+TAB to desktop first if you're running FM full screen).


4. Click the "Load Game" button.
   


5. Enter club's name in the Search input box and hit Enter.
   


6. Double-click on the club's row. Edit finances and click Save.

About the tactic

"I'm going to make this team the best team in the world."
That was what I said when I picked Blue Square Bet South side Boreham Wood F.C.

Right now I finished season 2019/2020 with an amazing Champions League final in which I won the title for the first time. That is why I decided to upload my tactic that helped me had an amazing season. With this tactic I also won the FA Cup, Community Shield and the Premier League.

Formation

The formation of this tactic is quite a weird one, hence the name.
The team is working with a 4-1-2-1-2 kind of formation:
four defenders, one defensive midfielder, a midfielder and a winger on the center, attacking midfielder and two strikers.

Key Positions

The key positions of this tactic are the Left Back, the Right Winger and the Poacher.

The main idea of the tactic is to cross the ball for the Poacher to head into the net. That is why we will need a tall striker with good Jumping, Strength and Heading. This is my striker: (17 Jumping, 18 Strength and 18 Heading)



The ones who cross him the ball are the attacking Left Back and the Right Winger.
For the Left Back we need someone with good Pace, Acceleration, Stamina, Work Rate and Crossing.

This is my Left Back: (17 Pace, 17 Acceleration, 18 Stamina, 19 Work Rate and 11 Crossing)



For the Right Winger position we need a guy that can go through players fast and cross good balls. We need someone with with good Pace, Dribble, Technique, Work Rate and Crossing.

This is my Right Winger: (16 Pace, 17 Dribble, 18 Technique, 17 Work Rate and 20 Crossing)

Background Details

"I dreamed of making KuPS a fortress of invincibility. A team which everybody would fear and would crumble against."
This was my dream, something which I wanted to make a reality. I believed that I could take KuPS to the very top but I needed a tactic for the Finnish team.

I had originally been using a tactic which I have had for nine different Football Managers. It was ok but it had it's faults. I needed a tactic which would allow me to control the game and be strong attacking and defensively. I looked at why teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid were great. They had a contrast in styles but they had a similar core. This core was the short-passing made famous by the Spannish. I believed that it brought fluidity in to their football. This is what I wanted.

I built this tactic for my second league season and I remained unbeaten, aswell as winning the Cup and securing passage to the Champions League Group Stages. You might say that this was an impressive feat for a Finnish team. I considered it a great feat for the tactic which helped me beat teams that wee a class above.

The name of the tactic, Banzai Tiki-Taka, is from the tiki-taka and from a KuPS chant called "Banzai". They sing this when they are playing important cup matches or in Europe. It is quite emotional and I feel it fits the tactic.

Formation

As you can see it is a 4-6-0, also called the "False No.9" which Spain made famous in Euro 2012. With the technical midfielders that I had, I felt that I did not need a striker to score the goals. I have a flat back four, a defensive (deep) midfielder, two central midfielders, two wide attacking midfielders (wingers) and a central attacking midfielder.

Positions

Goalkeeper: The Sweeper 'Keeper performs a very important role as he is expected to rush out if a very long ball is played by the opposition. He is also very good on the ball and isn't afraid to pass the ball about. It is important that your Sweeper 'Keeper has descent Pace and descent Composure. He plays an important role.

Centre Backs: The Centre Backs (Ball Playing Defenders) very much add to the passing as they link up play when the ball must go backwards. One is a stopper who goes out to an incoming striker, while the other one covers for him. It is important for them to be good defenders but to have an okay First Touch and Passing attributes for the passing side of their game.

Full Backs: The Full Backs (Wing Backs) are deeper than original wing backs but this brings a lot of balance to the defence and still adds to our attacking play. It is important that they have good Pace and good Stamina as they must run up and down the flanks all game.

Defensive Midfield: We have a Deep Lying Playmaker in the DM position who will stay deep to remain as a passing option aswell as breaking down any opposing counter-attacks. This player must have good passing and tackling stats. High Creativity is also an important asset.

Centre Midfield: There is one plain Centre Midfielder accompanied by an Advanced Playmaker. The centre midfielder will do his role of defending and attacking. The Advanced Playmaker will look to get the ball around and make the killer passes. A very creative midfield, if you have the right players. Passing and Work Rate are important stats as these two midfielders should be running and passing all game long.

Wingers: The two Wingers play as Inside Forwards who swap sides often. They look to find a way around the opposing defenders by making manipulative runs and beating them when they have the ball. They are part of the front three and are expected to chip in with the goals. Good Dribbling, Flair and Creativity make for good Wingers.

Attacking Midfield: This is the Trequartista position, or the False No.9, which was made famous by Lionel Messi. The player is not an out-and-out striker but he leads the line in attack. The player uses his Dribbling and Creativity to make chances for himself and for others. He is part of the front three and will grab many goals and assissts. He should have good Dribbling, Flair, Creativity and Finishing is a nice bonus too.

Team Instructions

This tactic utilises a very fluid, controlling game. We achieve this through quick-tempo short passing and high creative freedom. This allows for free-flowing attacking moves.

Defensively, we push high up utilising the offside trap. We do not counter attack. We mark zonally so that fast strikers on the other team cannot catch us out.

These shouts mean we keep the ball at all costs. We very much focus on making gaps in the opposing defence and working the ball in to the box. Our fast-paced attacks pull defences one way and then another before breaching the gaps.

Results

These are the first set of results with my tactic:


These results were from when we had a relatively injury-free squad. In these nineteen games, we won sixteen and drew three. We kept thirteen clean sheets from this set of games, which is a very good ratio. I found that we dominated most games and the three draws were down to a very tired squad or from a lot of injuries.


I highly recommend this tactic to those who have a very technical squad. Teams from Spain, Portugal, etc. will have a field day with this tactic. I hope that this tactic works as well for you as it did for me!

I've spent the last 3-4 hours simming a game to July 2018, starting off with only the English leagues, but adding the French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Brazilian and Argentinian leagues in the final season. Most of the legends in their 30s have retired and been replaced by newgens.

My manager, Kevin Joordens, has done nothing but spent a good six years on vacation. Although I would expect you to continue with a new manager, he has an automatic reputation and his favoured club is Manchester United. This is for those who are too lazy to create their own manager.

My apologies if some of your favourite players aren't in the game because I didn't add a majority of the leagues till 2017, but with 75,000 players now available, I don't think it should be too much of a problem.

Sports Interactive just released the seventh hot-fix update for Football Manager 2013 via Steam. This 13.2.3 patch will help fix plenty match engine issues.

To update you will need to close the game down and re-launch for it to update. If this does not work for you or you feel it has not updated you will need to restart Steam.

FM Editor Live is a simple real time editor for Football Manager 2013.
It's the evolution of FM Real-Time Financial Editor and has been produced due to popular demand for a more advanced free editor.

Like its predecessor, FMEL has a very straightforward interface and works very fast.

FMEL is a simple editor that allows you to quickly adjust information of clubs and persons. It should be safe to use it, but at any case make sure to keep a backup of your savegame before using.

Requirements

► .NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 (standalone offline installer) or higher
To find out if you have .NET Framework 3.5 installed, you can use Framework Detector (free tool).

► Patch 13.2.3 (latest FM13 update)
To use this version of FMEL, you must have your game updated with the 13.2.3 Patch.

Please note it won't work with the Russian or Korean versions of the game.

This is FMEL for Windows.

How to use

1. Extract the downloaded FMELv1.3.zip in a folder of your choice.

2. Run Football Manager 2013, and load your save game (or start a new one).

3. Run FMEditorLive.exe (ALT+TAB to desktop first if you're running FM full screen).

4. Click the "Load Game" button.



5. Enter club's name in the Search input box and hit Enter.



6. Double-click on the club's row. Edit what you wish in the 4 tabs available (Information, Finances, Kits, Teams) and click Save.






Double-click on the person's row. Edit birthday and/or nationality and click Save.

Sports Interactive just released the 8th patch for Football Manager 2013 via Steam. This 13.3.0 patch includes the January transfer data update.

If you start a new game, you will be given an option to start with two databases, the default database (13.0) or the 13.3.0 Update. Included within are all the latest transfers and updated squads.

So if you want to see Beckham strut his stuff at PSG, watch Balotelli back in Milan or lead the French revolution at Newcastle now's your chance.
To use the latest data you will need to start a new game following the update. The data is compatible with both modes, full Football Manager and Football Manager Classic.

Also included are a number of other changes and fixes within the update which, as always, are save game compatible. So if you're in no rush to use the latest data you're fine to continue your current save.

To update you will need to close the game down and re-launch for it to update. If this does not work for you or you feel it has not updated you will need to restart Steam.

With an Japanese Competitions pack i've download came an idea:

To make it the best league in the world.
After a few hours of editing i've created the Japanese Football much more entertaining, with 3 leagues (Nihon League 1, 2 and JFL), and 3 cups (Emperor's Cup, League Cup and SuperCup).

The teams have pretty nice sponsor deals from the league (tv revenue) and private deals (general deals), great stadiums full of fans, the best players in the world already distributed across the teams os Nihon League 1, players with potential across the league as well as the best possible training and youth infrastructures.

If you're into that jump into it, if you're not try picking a Nihon League 2 or JFL team such as Ube Cubs and try climbing all the way to the main League, while expanding your stadium, increasing your revenue and reputation, dealing with the big fish in the pond and signing the best regens.
