PRESS & PASS for FM 2017

I had huge success in FM 2016 with a very similar tactic taking Ipswich to Champions' League glory and domestic dominance and I've updated and tweaked it for FM 2017 with some successful results.

My Ipswich team has one of the lowest wage and transfer budgets but sits in 2nd place and is in the final of the EFL Cup.

The formation is a 433 with with an emphasis on a high press and short passing possession football played at a high tempo (I could envisage a top side playing in a similar way to Klopp's current Liverpool team).

1. Use a tool such as 7-zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for MacOSX to extract the contents of the downloaded .rar file.


2. Move the contents to:
   \Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2017\graphics\
   Create the folder "graphics" if it doesn't exist already.


3. Run Football Manager 2017 and go to: Preferences > Interface

Sports Interactive have just released the first hotfix patch for the final retail version of Football Manager 2017.

The 17.1.2 patch mainly addresses some stability issues, but also included are a couple of other fixes for issues raised since the final release of Football Manager 2017. A full change list is included below.

As usual the update is save game compatible, so you don't have to start a new save game to apply the fixes.

The national teams of Germany and Japan have fake players in Football Manager 2017 due to licensing issues that Sports Interactive and SEGA have been unable to resolve through the years.

As a result there are certain files within the FM17 installation folders that prevent you from managing the aforementioned national teams and also exclude real players showing up in their rosters.

Fixing this problem is as simple as deleting these files, but you will have to start a new save-game for the fix to take effect.
