The tactic is inspired by Conte and Chelsea, I tested it at first with wingers instead of two central offensive midfielders, which I did not like because I thought it did not bring in the wingbacks to the game as I wanted, The problem was that they had the wingers in front of them and was not so offensive. By moving in the wingers to offensive midfielders the wingbacks got the space to work with, and I managed to win many games. The high pressure often makes the opponent clear the ball and the it ends up with my defensive midfielders who cleans up.

First tactic:



I used it mainly on "easy" matches where I had to score first to win the game, really offensive (+20 shots per game) but much less defensive than the 2nd one. Really good tactic for teams with players who can do 4+ positions, like Tottenham. Focus on building the most physical Midfield you can so they can compensate the over-extended wing backs.

Second tactic:



This one I used in balanced matches (top 5 teams from BPL or CL knockout rounds), really defensive but with a nice Midfield you will be able to control the game and score, without conceding many goals.

Fatih Terim likes tough and strong midfield. He likes his teams never give up till the last seconds.

He won the UEFA Cup in 2000 and play quarter final in CL 3 years ago.

He is a very aggressive person. You can see lots of friendship and teamwork in his players.

Hello guys. After more than a year, i have finally managed to make successful tactic that is worth to share it with you. I have tried many things in this year's FM. Four defenders, unsuccessful, five defenders, same thing. Then I told myself, if Conte can do it in real life, why shouldn't i do it in virtual.

This tactic first started as 3-4-3 and was successful, but then i decided to put only one striker and two AMC. I started using this tactic while in Norwich and easily won Championship with 100 pts, 20 pts more than 2nd placed Newcastle.

If playing this tactic, your team will create many chances, with a lot of shots on target. There's 3 on the central midfield, which have the ability to control the midfield in the match, without slowing the game. 1. Formation
To properly perform Gegenpressing as a tactic, you need to have players in advanced positions. As such, aside from the striker, having players in 1-3 AM positions will place them as close as possible to the opposition to apply pressure and win the ball in the attacking third of the pitch. As such, setting up in 4-2-3-1, 4-1-2-2-1 (Barcelona-esque 4-3-3) or 4-2-2-2 (or slight asymmetric variations thereof) would be ideal. Setting up in “flat” 4-4-1-1, 4-1-4-1 or 4-4-2 also work, if the wide midfielders have a duty that pushes them further up the pitch when in possession.
