What's included:

Completed all Belgian clubs names. Altered all the Belgian club's kits.
Also added new amateur teams to get enough clubs for all divisions.
I've separated the Vlaams-Brabant province into 2 provinces, includes now the Waals-Brabant province. In real life we have 10 Belgian provinces.
I did no create missing cities for clubs when no city could be linked to a club!

What's new in GS15

The biggest change in Genie Scout 15 is the update of roles and duties (91 available in total) and the update of the rating system according to the important attributes for each role which have changed for FM15.
In addition, the "g" edition now features a new search tab which allows you to search by specific role/duty, as well as the sortable columns for each of them in search results. See the screenshots below.

How to run GS15

Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.

Depending on your country, you might get an offer screen to install a free-trial program or a browser toolbar during installation. You can choose to Accept/Next or Decline/Skip the offer.
IMPORTANT: If you don't want the offer, you need to hit the Decline or the Skip button! Unticking possible checkboxes on the offer screen is only for disabling an offer's extra options.

Follow instructions until installation is finished.

Run Football Manager 2015 and load your savegame.

Launch Genie Scout 15 and from main menu click "Load Game".

As usual, Genie Scout 15 comes in two editions:

The public edition comes with 2 banner ads and an offer screen during installation.

The "g" edition has no ads nor offers during installation.

In order to get the "g" edition, you need to donate to Eugene. Refer to Genie Scout 15g FAQ if you have further questions.

Apart from no ads, the "g" edition has 5 extra features:

Search by role/duty: New tab in advanced search popup that allows searching by role and duty - plus sortable columns of each of them in search results
Probability of Development: A statistically based model that will show the probability of reaching theoretical maximum of players ability
Progress Rate: Shows the predicted speed of player's development, depending on his ambition, determination, professionalism etc

Please note that during the first run of "g" edition it may take a few minutes to create the graphic packs cache. Next time it will be loaded much faster.

DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION:
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so you will have to wait just a few minutes before you receive a download link and a key file. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID alongside your donation.

Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
It might take up to 24 hours though. In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.

IMPORTANT:
FM Scout (the site) is not involved in the donations towards Eugene, neither has any responsibility delivering the ad-free version to you after donation. This is a process handled solely by Eugene himself.

Bug Reports

During closed beta stage for supporters, Eugene fixed all bugs that came to surface. As a result, the public edition should be quite stable from its very first version.

Known issue: Sale value for players is not accurate and sadly we have no way of making it work as it used to be before GS13.

Any comment including bug report posted on this page will be removed on sight!

EXPORTING DATA:
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc.

Step 1

Download the .rar archives and use a tool such as 7-zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for MacOSX to extract the folders.

Step 2

Cut and paste the extracted folders to:

Der Raumdeuter FM15 tactic

Firstly let me start by introducing myself a little bit, I've been playing FM since the days of CM and since the age of around 14/15 and I'm now 29!

I wanted to try and start something this year by uploading my tactics and then see where this takes me maybe into doing a FM YouTube career channel or story-blog etc.

So here we go, the first tactic I'm uploading is my attempt to replicate the Pep Guardiola philosophy/style that Bayern Munchen currently employ. This fluid sort of formation is quite difficult to replicate on football manager so it has taken me a bit of time "tinkering" with it to get it to a point I'm happy with. After watching Bayern in various games I ended up coming to the conclusion that in possession they attack with a 3-3-3-1 formation and out of possession a 4-2-3-1, so here are some pictures to back up my research...

In Possession - you can see once they win possession back this is the shape that they end up in its a 3-3-3-1

Out of Possession - here you can see they have just won the ball back but remain in the 4-2-3-1 before readjusting to a 3-3-3-1

So taking all this into consideration this is the formation which I have come up with which I feel best reflects the shape of the side...

Roles breakdown:

SK-A, its common knowledge Manual Neur tends to push out and sweep up at the back and looks to make a pass.

CD-D, three players on the left side of the field lets the central defender break up plays and also in the defence role allows him to cover for the WB who might not be in position yet.

CD-C, set to cover because the right flank is left exposed so the central CD drops back to cover the right CD.

CD-C, the right CD set to cover to drop in and cover for the Raumdeuter playing higher up the field.

WB-A, provides width down the left side of the field but also set to close down less so he can drop in to create a back four when the side loses possession.

DM-S, tends to sit and link between midfield and attack

DLP-D, links the defence to attack and provides direct passes to the attacking lines, set to defend to provide extra cover on the right flank which is exposed.

AP-A, freedom to roam, closes opponents down, gets out wide to make crosses and provides short interchanges.

AM-S, freedom to roam, closes opponents down, more direct passes and moves into channels to stretch defence - set to support so he stays in the hole and links with midfield and attack.

RMD-A, hugs the touchline and finds space to be most effective, set to close down opponents and generally be a nuisance.

CF-S, set to support so the cf drops deep plays link passes to the forwards around him and moves into channels to stretch opponents defence also set to close down more to force opponents into mistakes when making short distribution.

Opposition Instructions - Close down all opposition wingbacks/wingers/wide midfielders/strikers on the right/left.

Mentality : CONTROL - moves the ball around keeping possession patiently waiting for the right opening, lets the fullbacks attack and allows the more attacking midfield players to get into the opponents half/area .

Team Shape : FLUID - splits the team into attacking and defensive units but allows players from both units to move into a transitional phase when the opportunity arises.

Team Instructions - work ball into box, play out of defence and low crosses.. aimed at retaining possession. Player wider, push higher up and exploit the middle.. stretch the field allowing more space through the middle to penetrate. Stay on feet, prevent short gk distribution.. to compliment closing down quickly assigned to certain players. Lower tempo, be more disciplined.. to move the ball around keeping possesion and stick to the plan/tactical shape (discipline).

PRE SEASON - 50% match training until the tactic is fluid - I split general training between fitness - high, team cohesion - very high, 2 weeks of each.

Hello everyone, it's good to be back with my databases.

Last year my FM14 database was downloaded a total of 170,000 times and for that I like to thank you all, especially fmscout.com for supporting my work since the very beginning and making it known to the Football Manager community.

This year I'm hoping to be bigger and better. As always I will be working around the world with player transfers, managers, coaches, etc.

There are over 43,000 changes in the database as of April 16, 2015, including 610 non-league transfers and managers in England and Scotland.

Installation

Extracting the facepack

Just extract PART I, all other parts will be extracted automatically.

After extracting the pics, put them to following folder:

/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/graphics/players

The folder "players" has to be created by yourself.

Run Football Manager and go to:
Preferences -> Interface
Click Using caching to decrease page loading times OFF
Click Reload Skin when confirming changes in preferences ON
CONFIRM

If you want to add new pics, please use fmxml or grahics configurator to overwrite the existing config.xml.

Hi and welcome to the user manual for fmscout's brand new chat.

The chat is only available to logged in members and it works similarly to Facebook chat. It has been a key part of the fmscout community for some years now, making this the very first Football Manager fan site with such functionality.

We have recently changed our chat significantly because we had to make it mobile friendly like the rest of the site.
If you are an old timer finding it hard to get used to the new chat, this article will help you learn all you need to know to feel comfortable around it and enjoy using it. If you still don't have an fmscout account, I hope this article will convince you to create one and join our community as an active member.

Important Note:
If the new chat doesn't open for you, it might be because you had ticked the "keep me logged in" option before we changed the chat. Please sign out from your fmscout account and then sign back in. This usually does the trick for most people.

I'll use screenshots to showcase what the chat looks like and what you can do with all the little buttons and icons it has.

The first time the chat opens for you, it will look like this:

Don't panic if this is confusing at first, it's in fact quite well organised.
I have created a little chat manual for you below:

Take your time to read the explanation texts and familiarize yourself with the functionality by trying out what you learn.

Now I will show some variations of the chat, based on various options you have.

Here is the result if you hide the users list and also resize the chat window to the minimum possible width by clicking on the left side and then drag & drop as far right as it goes:

You can start a private chat with another member by clicking on his username.
And if he goes offline (like in the screenshot below), you can still message him and he will see it the next time he will sign in.

Here is another example of resizing the users list to show only avatar and country flag, and then click on the chat options icon to the bottom left corner. There are options to ignore private chats, be invisible on the users list or turn off the chat.

Here is an example of resizing the users list to show just the avatar (which is smaller it can get while enabled). And then pasting 2 links. The first one is a direct link to a remote picture and the second is the link to a YouTube video. As you can see below, the chat is able to identify image and video links and embed their contents directly.

The attach file icon will fire up a popup window that lets you choose a file to send. And the smiley icon will trigger a little box with emoticons you can use in your chats. I believe they're both pretty much self-explanatory.

Known Issue:
Private group chats are not supported for the time being, but I'll be looking to add this feature in the near future when given the chance.

Installation instructions

Step 1

Download the skins and extract the file (using either 7-Zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac).

Step 2

Move the extracted folders "alavanja 15 madness dark v2" and "alavanja 15 madness light v2" into your skins folder:

Win Vista/7/8: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2015\skins
Win XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2015\skins
Mac OS X: /Users/<username>/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/skins

Create the folder "skins" if it doesn't exist.

Step 3

Start the game and go to Preferences screen and Interface tab.
You should see "Alavanja 15 Madness Dark V2" and "Alavanja 15 Madness Light V2" as options in the skin drop down of the Overview box.
Hit the Confirm button.

Please note this skin is provided as is. It has nothing to do with Sports Interactive or SEGA and won't be supported by them.

fmXML for Windows

fmXML is an application useful especially for graphics makers and players, who like creating facepacks, logopacks and kitspacks from time to time. After creating the graphics, we find their folder(s) in the program and then we set options (it is very easy) and generate the config.xml file, which is necessary for such add-ons to working properly in-game.

fmXML was created by Papuass in October 22nd, 2004 and was last updated on Marth 5th, 2005.

How to install fmXML

1. Download this program
2. Install it (extract the .exe file from the .zip archive and double click on it)
3. Run it

How to use fmXML

1) First you have to choose a folder where your graphics are located. You can get it in several ways:

Use Browse button
Type it or paste from clipboard
Drag the directory on fmXML window (my preferred method)

2) Choose Action from these 2 options:

Make config.xml file
Use this if you have made faces/logos/kits for some players/clubs/competitions.
Translate file names to IDs
Use this if you have downloaded a face pack which contains files, named as player real name, not ID, but you want to copy them in another folder (to avoid duplicates or whatever another reason). This works with face/logo packs, but not with kits (may be implemented later).

3) Object - choose one of the following:

faces - for player/coach faces
kits - for club/nation kits
nation logos - for national FA logos
competition logos - for competition logos
club logos - for (surprise) club logos

4) Select Options

All filenames are IDs
If filenames of these graphics already are resource ID numbers (which you can find in Football Manager by using option to show unique IDs), you can tick this checkbox. Use this only if filenames ARE IDs. If they are not, you will end up with config.xml files with IDs as 0 and they will not work in the game. If you do not tick this checkbox, new dialog will pop up, asking you for resource ID for each file. Find appropriate ID and insert it. For kits there are more options.
Process dragged folders
This lets you speed up some things. If ticked, you can drag multiple folders on fmXML window to process them as a batch. N!B! you can not change graphics type in batch mode. So ensure that all files in these folders are from the same type.

5) GO button starts the job (in batch mode it starts automatically).

Optional: Edit XML
It is a simple config.xml file viewer/editor. It is very simple, but can be useful. There is an issue that you can use TAB key normally. To get a TAB symbol, use Ctrl+TAB.

When the work is done, click Close to quit the program.

It is my pleasure to introduce our truly amazing ad-boards megapack.
The aim was to combine the 2 other ad-board packs available in the FM Community whilst introducing new up to date boards to freshen up the packs
The whole config file has had a huge overhaul to make codes easier to find and edit.

The 2 main packs by Rab and Doc have now been combined so there are even more clubs and comps than both those two packs offer.
Big thanks to Kenneth Nielsen & Spanish Red for getting the ad boards started and for talking me into doing the config.

How to add the KSD ad-boards to Football Manager 2015

Place the Ads folder (containing the XML FILE) into:
Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2015

Place the Ads folder (containing the Adboard Graphics) into:
Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2015 > Graphics > Pictures

Make sure you turn FM off then restart it to install properly, also make sure that in your FM Preferences you have ....use caching to reduce page loading times...un-ticked

For each update you download, move its contents inside the Ads folder and replace/overwrite the older contents.

My FM15 transfer update which includes until 29.04 :

This update is the biggest update yet, containing hundreds of transfers and changes all over the world. And It will be the biggest transfer update because I do not make changes like player history and shirt numbers.
And I'm aware that many transfers are missed (especially in lower leagues) but I will make this update bigger and bigger.

What are FM15 wonderkids?

Players with amazing potential ability and great or decent current ability up to the age of 20.

This list features FM15 best young players, some of them will already be wonderkids, other should be pretty close and there will also be the ones that should have the potential but it's not certain they will make it before they turn 21!

What does the rating mean?

It's a personal recommendation system for your convenience. I'm using a 1-100 scale based on English divisions.
81+ all-time elite
78-80 top player for 1st division teams
75-77 solid backup for 1st division teams
72-74 top player for 2nd division teams
71- top player for 3rd division teams and below

Potential Ability hint

Most players have PA of -8 which means they won't always have 150+ in your savegame. There are players with PA of -9 or fixed at 150+ (guaranteed wonderkid potential), and some others with PA fixed slightly below 150 who have impressive quality. In essence, there are 3 classes of players here, color-marked for your convenience.

-8 : light gray white
-9 or 150+ : light gold
< 150 : light green

≪ Previous: Football Manager 2015 Wonderkids

Contains 27.335 changes from the 10th of February 2015 until the 2nd of May 2015 that happened after the 15.3 database lockdown. Inside the .rar file you can find all texts that contain the database changes, plus the instructions text on how to install correctly the files in your game !

Released: 2 May - 2.2

Updates are scheduled to be released every 15 days, so you know when to expect the next ones.

What is included

Transfers Update
1. Transfers from all around the world from the very best leagues to the small ones.
2. Contract changes to reflect corrected wages.
3. Managerial changes.
4. Passed away players / staff are removed from database.
5. Corrected squad numbers.
6. In some cases adjusted personal attributes such as height and weight.
7. Added favorite clubs, favourite staffs and so.
8. Nationality changes.
General Changes
1. Chairman changes. Newly created chairmans take the place of the ones who left.
2. Added affiliations between clubs.
3. New people created that are not in the game, and are not wonderkids.
4. Stadium removals.
5. Corrected captains.
Injured Players
1. Players who were injured, corrected injury dates.
2. Players who were injured, but mistakenly not added to the game.
Wonderkids
1. New young players created, who will become world class players in the future.
2. In some cases adjusted CA/PA abilities of players under 21, and set wonderkids.
Current Ability / Potential Ability Changes
1. Adjusted stats and current ability attributes.
2. Adjusted potential ability.

How will this feature affect our games? Can we play this update without the CA/PA changes?
Yes, the CA/PA file is a new file beside the others. If you don't want this file, simply don't choose it when you start a new game.

Installation Instructions

Step 1

Extract the downloaded zip file. You'll get 2 folders and 2 .txt files

Step 2

Open the "Files" folder.
Then move the .fmf files you need in your Football Manager 2015 editor data folder:

Win Vista/7/8: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\editor data\
Win XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\editor data\
Mac OS X: /Users/<username>/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2014/editor data/

Create the folder editor data if it doesn't exist.

Step 3

Start a new game.

In case you have more editor data files: When setting up a new game, do not have any other data update files ticked on your Editor Data Files screen except this one.

Choose only my files if you are not sure about the changes in every file. Many files together from different creators can cause crashes to the game, duplicates and other problems. Avoid using files from different creators.

Files that add new competitions are OK to have.

• Cyprus & Indian Superleague, and Agents files have been removed from now, cause I haven't tested them. Although the Agents file should probably work perfect. If you want the agents file, grab the one from my previous pack.
• You need the official 15.3 patch which includes the winter transfers to make this pack work.

• Latest worldwide transfers such as Cerci to Milan, Torres to Atletico Madrid, Frank Lampard loan renewal, Steven Gerrard future transfer to LA Galaxy, Lukas Podolski & Xherdan Shaqiri to Inter, and so on...
Known issues
• Short term loans (less than 3 months) are not passed
• Kramaric is currently in Leicester; If something goes wrong with his WP, I will remove him from the next pack

Cities megapack for FM 2015

Hi FM fans

In my last update of FlutSkin I introduced a new Club Overview Panel and a new Club General Overview including the pictures of club cities.

This is new in FM skins.

With the collaboration of other FM fans (thanks to all of them) it was possible to do the most part of the citypics from clubs all over the world.

We have now the first MEGAPACK for FlutSkin.

This pack includes all citypics made before May 1, 2015 (over 4000 citypics of clubs belonging to 91 countries).

We hope you enjoy it.

How to add pics of cities in club overview on FM 2015

Create a folder named citypics and put it in the following path:

documents > sports interactive > football manager 2015 > graphics > pictures

If you already have a folder named Backgrounds (inside the Pictures folder) with your stadium packs you have to organize the folders in order that the citypics folder will be read by the game BEFORE the backgrounds folder (don’t forget the game reads the folders in alphabetical order).

You need to have a Flutskin for this to work:

FMclub is really pleased to show you his new Kit template the TW. This template was created by Teenway, administrator of the french website fmclub.fr and pack was done by allezrcs94. Project advance slowly but surely to purpose always more content.

How to install

Step 1

Download the .zip archive and use a tool such as 7-zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for MacOSX to extract the folders.

Step 2

Copy those folders to:
\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2015\graphics\kits\

Create folders "graphics" and "kits" if they don't exist already.

Step 3

Run Football Manager 2015 and go to: Preferences > Interface

Make sure that you tick the check box on the page called 'Reload skin when confirming changes in Preferences' and un-tick then box saying 'Use caching to decrease page loading times'. Hit Confirm.

There should be a box that pops up saying 'loading image data for the new skin'. Once this is done your graphics should be working within the game.
