American Premier League for FM16

$

0
This is a first release of the American Premier League file for Football Manager 2016.

This is designed to allow folks to play American teams without the salary cap management and general pain that MLS rules create.

Sixty Four teams are in this first release:
  • 20 MLS teams in the American Premier League
  • 20 NASL/USL teams in the American Championship
  • 24 NASL/USL teams (including B teams) in the American Challenge Division

Prize Money and TV money in the top two leagues, life in the Challenge Division offers limited prize money and results based money (more if you win, but a little bit even if you lose).

Also included is a 64 team US Open Cup, featuring all 64 league teams.

This file will be updated with changes (I hope to add a fourth division, and expand the Cup competition.)

Comments and suggestions are always encouraged.

SERBIAN LOWER LEAGUES v1.0

This year I will work more on the real structure of Serbian football pyramid, but the serious work will start in January.

Until then, I'll try to maintain a usable database at an acceptable level, covered with all kinds of data.
In addition to the leagues activated, I'll release mini-patches to fix various things and always include all the latest information available.

Released: 22 Nov, 2015 - v1.0

Activated the Serbian leagues:
- Serbian league "Belgrade"
- Serbian league "East"
- Serbian league "West"
- Serbian league "Vojvodina"

Added rule that foreigners can not play in these leagues. During my research I've found that foreigners are not allowed to play matches in these leagues.

The regional Cups:
- Cup Football Association of Belgrade
- Cup Football Association regions of Eastern Serbia
- Cup Football Association of Western Serbia
- Cup Football Association of Vojvodina

Unplayable leagues:
- Zoning league Serbia (10 subgroups)
- Regional League (31 subgroups)

Other:
I've done some other things when it comes to this introductory version of the "Serbian lower leagues" but nothing excessive and they are mainly related to adding information about the clubs that are in Serbian zonal and district leagues.

Montenegro Football Pyramid for FM16

$

Complete Montenegrin Leagues structure (first, second and third league which is divided by region).
Montenegrin national cup and regional cups.
Youth league with real system and real clubs + Youth Cup.

Added Montenegrin national and club media.
Changed reputation of all Montenegrin clubs in the game.

The names of competitions are now working in English.
Also, another change, which was made on request. Letters "Č", "Ć", "Ž", "Š", "Đ" for "c", "d", "DJ".

Added last winners of youth leagues, cups and regional leagues and cups.

The situation with Mogren is specific. They started the competition this season in the second division after relegation from the first division last season, but after two games because they failed to fulfill obligations in the league they got relegated to the third tier. It would create an additional problem so I decided that the first season Mogren deduct 99 points (the maximum possible win in season) to ensure they'll relegate to the third division.

By default Montenegro join the European Union in 2020.

More than 1,600 changes in the database.
Tested over three seasons to Go On Holiday without any problems.

Premier League December 2015 Preview: Who Will Top The League on January 1?

$
0
0
After 14 games of the new Premier League campaign, four points separate the top five sides in what is shaping up as a very close title race.

Manchester City and Leicester City are joint top on 29 points, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham all in hot pursuit.

When putting a bet on who will be top of the league come January 1 through your Matchbook, it is worth examining the five clubs’ fixtures over December - so who will be in top spot on the first day of 2016?

Manchester City

Currently on top spot on goal difference, Manuel Pellegrini’s side have a mix of games they should win and challenges on the road over the next month.

Although the Etihad Stadium club would expect to pick up maximum points in home fixtures against Swansea and Sunderland, trips to Stoke, Arsenal and Leicester represent tough proposals.

Presuming that City win their home games and the trip to Stoke, but potentially drop points against the Gunners and/or Foxes, there is every chance they could still be on top come 2016.

Predicted points total - 39

Leicester City

Claudio Ranieri’s men have been the surprise package of the campaign and show no signs of slowing down with another impressive performance against Manchester United at the weekend.

With Jamie Vardy’s goals continuing to fire the Foxes towards positive results, the King Power Stadium side should not be written off.

That said, Leicester arguably have the toughest fixture list over the next month, with away games at Swansea, Everton and Liverpool complemented by hosting Chelsea and City - a real test.

Predicted points total - 33

Manchester United

Louis van Gaal’s side have not been playing football to inspire the masses but remain in the hunt thanks to a stubborn rearguard.

At this stage in the club’s ongoing project, results seem more more important than the manner of performance.

The Old Trafford outfit will be looking at their next five fixtures and believe they can still be in the running come 2016, with home games against West Ham, Norwich and Chelsea split up by trips to Bournemouth and Stoke.

Predicted points total - 39

Arsenal

The Gunners have suffered stuttering form and debilitating injuries over recent weeks that threatens to derail their challenge, with the next month critical for Arsene Wenger’s side.

However on paper the North London side have an agreeable next month, with games at the Emirates Stadium against Sunderland, Manchester City and Bournemouth and winnable trips to Aston Villa and Southampton.

Despite Alexis Sanchez’s recent injury, expect Arsenal to be in the mix, maybe even top, come January 1.

Predicted points total - 40

Tottenham

The ultimate goal for Spurs will remain a spot in the top four, but a continuation of recent good form could well see them in the hunt for top spot come the new year.

Mauricio Pochettino’s young side take on West Brom, Southampton and Watford away from White Hart Lane while also hosting Norwich and Newcastle - an agreeable run.

Spurs should be in the top four come January 1, but top spot seems out of their reach.

Predicted points - 35

Euro 2016 - Who will claim glory in France?

$
0
0
With the 24 participating teams confirmed for next summer’s Euro 2016 tournament in France, excitement is starting to build for the competition.

A host of European football’s historic countries will surely be in the mix when backing your choice on Ladbrokes, but there is also scope for a few dark horses to make a splash.

Here are the main contenders for glory.

France

Considerable pressure will be on the hosts’ shoulders given their home advantage and the quality in their squad, but their chances of success could well be down to coach Didier Deschamps.

If the former Marseille boss can fit all his superstars into a system that works and keep harmony in a national group renowned for divisions, France will be a real force at the competition.

With the likes of Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann, Karim Benzema and Anthony Martial at Deschamps’ disposal, Les Bleus will be a dangerous proposal.

Spain

The reigning European champions and powerhouse of global football over the last decade, Spain may well have had a poor World Cup but remain a superb side.

Some of the older heads have started to take their leaves of absence, but plenty of world-class talent and up-and-coming superstars remain.

Vicente del Bosque needs to get the blend between experience and youth right; if he does, no-one will enjoy playing La Roja.

England

Perennial underachievers, England again dashed the hopes of a nation last summer at the World Cup amid a reputation of choking in tournament football.

A flawless qualification campaign suggests improvement and Roy Hodgson has had more time with the group to make an impression.

England have some superb players, but overcoming mental barriers is the biggest obstacle to success.

Germany

The world champions are an obvious choice, with Germany seemingly always in the mix come the business end of competitions.

With a core of Bayern Munich players still comprising the heart of the team and some prodigious new stars being added, Joachim Low has imperious personnel at his disposal.

The Germans will be keen to follow Spain’s lead in winning consecutive tournaments and if they get it right will take some stopping.

Belgium

Currently ranked as world football’s number one team, Belgium have embarked on an ambitious project under Marc Wilmots courtesy of a golden generation of players.

With the bulk of the country’s top stars featuring in the Premier League on a weekly basis and developing together at national level, on paper they look like a side that is capable of beating anyone.

Although not the first name that traditionally pops into the mind when thinking about European football’s top teams, this could well be the stage for Belgium’s greatest-ever achievement.

What's new in GS16

The biggest change in Genie Scout 16 is the complete revamp of the rating system according to recent FM tendencies.
Based on deep player development history analysis using big data techniques and statistics (collected data from over 15 years of game history on over 100k players and over 54k matches from top-12 leagues), the following changes have been made:
  • re-assessed the influence of one-foot vs both-feet playing ability on overall rating (a player who can use both feet performs better than a player who can only use one foot with the same attributes)
  • skills dependency on current ability has been thoroughly investigated, which makes potential rating assessment much more accurate
  • peak (max possible) potential ability has been investigated (what CA can be reached depending on the current age and position)
  • position skill influence on player performance (inability to play on a specific position doesn't affect performance significantly now if player has high skills required for the position)
  • role ratings improved based on FM16 suggestions
  • positional ratings adjusted based on FM16 suggestions and on the statistical analysis of collected matches history

In addition, the "g" edition now features a brand new amazing feature: In-Game Scout. IGS brings GS usability to a whole new level. Clicking the (i) icon next to player's name in-game normally shows up a pop-up box with his attributes and some quick details. With IGS enabled, this pop-up box is enhanced with many added insights, including potential skills and rating. You no longer need to switch to the GS window to check on hidden attributes or potential ability.

Compatibility

OS: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10

Debski's World of Hairstyles - Regens Hair Pack for FM16

$

0
Brand new hairpack for FM2016 adding 2580 new fresh styles for your regens/newgens!

Make your long-term saves so much more enjoyable, with this new addition to complete the FM experience.

The download includes thousands of hairstyles from all over the world, and will make you want to keep even the shittiest of regens just because they look so good ;-).

Due to the new type of regens from FM15 to FM16, a very small percentage of the hairs will not fit 100%, as the width of regen faces varies by a small margin this year, making some heads too narrow and others too wide - there is nothing we can do about, and as written it should affect only very few players.

Tested and looking well on light and dark skins as well, and save game compatible. Goes perfectly along with other installed graphics (hairpacks, logos, kits and so on).

Enjoy guys!

Debski's Regen Hairstyles Preview

The Vitrex FM16 skin was used for the preview screenshots above.

Vitrex16 skin for FM16
The popular and sleek looking Vitrex skin (dark) is back for Football Manager 2016, the game we all love.

How to install Debski's Hairstyles in FM 2016

  1. Please be aware that this graphical mod DOES NOT go into the "Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2016" folder as normal graphics do (kits, logos, faces and so on). It will not work/have any affect if extracted here.

Instead extract the whole folder "Debski's World of Hairstyles for FM16 v1.0" into the following directory on your computer:

    "[YOUR FM GAME FOLDER]\data\facegen\hair"

Default place to look for this folder is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2016"

For Mac users, the FM GAME FOLDER should be here:
    [username] > library > Application support > Steam > steamapps > common > football manager 2016

  2. The above mentioned folder (hair) should now contain minimum 6 folders. The "afro", "asian", "euro", "hispanic" and "mixed_race" standard folders by SI, alongside with your new "Debski's World of Hairstyles for FM16 v1.0" and eventually other custom graphics you might have installed.

  3. Open up FM16, go into preferences > interface and click the "Clear Cache" button.
When done, close the game. Run again, and everything should be up and running.

Files are save-game compatible, meaning you don't have to start a new game for them to make effect.

Liverpool FC Guide for FM16

$
0
0
Liverpool in the past used to be the best team in England. Now, they seem to be contenders for a Champions League spot, but they often fall into the Europa League having only qualified for the Champions League once since the 2008/09 season.

Last summer, Liverpool spent heavily, as they aimed to get back into the UEFA Champions League. Players like Benteke, Milner and Ings were added for depth and strength. They spent a total of £77m on new signings, but are still to await the results of Ings' tribunal.

Finances and Budget

Football Manager 2016 has changed the potential budgets, by giving you certain expectations for certain competitions.
Here they all are:

If you start on the 6th of July 2015, then your finances should be around £57.91m, if you start later it could be otherwise though.

Strongest Formations

The following suggestions for most fitting formations are based on the starting roster without making any transfers.

4-3-2-1

This formation consists of a GK, 2 CBs, a LB, a RB, 3 CMs, 2 CAMs and 1 ST.

The advantage of this formation with Liverpool, is that you can use your CM quality, and the Brazilian CAMs to full effect, while having Benteke or Sturridge up front (depending on the role you need) as the tip of the tactic.

The disadvantage of it though, is that your young wide players would have to train to play as CAM, and then they would only be backup because the 2 Brazil CAMs are young, and are of top quality.

Starting XI: Mignolet, Clyne, Sakho, Skrtel, Moreno, Henderson, Milner, Can, Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge

Backups: Bogdan, Lovren, Allen, Benteke, Lallana, Ibe, McLaughlin

4-2-3-1

This tactic is probably the most used in football at this minute, and for a good reason. It has lots of room to adjust, but in its normal form, the positions are: 1 GK, 1 LB, 2 CBs, 1 RB, 2 CMs, 1 LW, 1 RW, 1 CAM and 1 ST.

The advantage of this formation with Liverpool, is that you can use the wide players to get across and cross it in for the big man up front, or you can have them cut in and have a go themselves. You can also adjust it to have 2 DMs, 3 CAMs or both if wanted. The disadvantages, is that Liverpool don’t have a massive amount of Wing players (Ibe, Wilson, possibly Milner) so you would probably have to buy players there.

Starting XI: Mignolet, Clyne, Sakho, Skrtel, Moreno, Henderson, Milner, Coutinho (LW), Firmino, Ibe, Benteke / Sturridge (depending on play style)

Backups: Bogdan, Lovren, Can, Lallana, Wilson, Benteke/Sturridge, Lucas

Position by Position

Goalkeeper:
Now, if you are like me, then you aren’t the biggest fan of Mignolet. He is a decent keeper though, so if you want to stick with him, go for it, and if you want to sell him, same. Bogdan isn’t a ‘great’ backup, but he is willing, and can do a job in times of emergency.

Possible Replacements: Timo Horn, Geronimo Rulli (free in January in certain saves)

Left Back:
Liverpool have a great LB, who can stay there for years in Alberto Moreno. He’s young and has top quality now. Backups though, you’d struggle. The Aussie, Brad Smith is not bad, but personally, you’d want better. I’m not a specialist on LBs though.

Possible Replacements: Emmanuel Mas

Centre Backs:
Liverpool have a decent player in Lovren, a strong leader in Sakho and a tough defender in Skrtel. You can also do what Rodgers did and play Can there, but it’s not recommended personally. A surprise mention I’m going to list, is Wisdom. For some reason, he turned out to be pretty good when I played him after his loan, he can play RB as well though, something to bear in mind.

Possible Replacements: Timo Baumgartl

Right Back:
Luckily, we have sorted this problem out in real life, with Nathaniel Clyne coming in replacing Glen Johnson. This gives Liverpool a steady base for the next few years. Ryan McLaughlin is a solid RB if you want a HG base, or even Wisdom as mentioned before.

Possible Replacements: Valery Luchkevych

Central Midfielders:
You got all sorts of options for CM for all situations here. Henderson, Milner, Can, Lucas, Rossiter, and there are surely more that I missed. A mix of experience and youth, as this shines out as one of Liverpool’s best positions.

Possible Replacements: James Ward-Prowse

Wingers:
This position is a weakness here at Liverpool, we have Ibe, Milner (possibly), and… Wilson? Not the most impressive of options. You do have guys like Markovic coming back on loan after the year, so that softens the blow a bit.

Possible Replacements: Hirving Lozano (highly recommended), Andrija Zivkovic, Sofiane Feghouli, Maximilan Meyer

Attacking Midfielders:
Coutinho, Firmino, Lallana. These 3 are all you need for success. Coutinho has the dribbling skills, Firmino with the skills, and Lallana with the Supersub potential. There is also Teixeira for the people who want another option.

Possible Replacements: Martin Odegaard, Maximilan Meyer

Strikers:
You have the injury prone Sturridge, the target man Benteke, and the backups Origi and Ings. People often ask to loan Origi, depending if you need him, reject or accept, your choice. There are lots of strikers there if you need them though, so that’s good.

Possible Replacements: Richairo Zivkovic, Gabriel Barbosa

Weaknesses

LW/RW:
You have few options here, but lots of options are available like Feghouli and Lavezzi, the duo who are available on a Pre-Contract in January.

RB/LB:
Your 1st team is sorted, but backups are really needed, unless you want to rely on McLaughlin and Smith.

Conclusion

Liverpool are a fantastic team to play as, with their ability to have a good core of players to move on and options for different tactics. Use them to their strengths, you would be looking at UEFA Champions League football. Fail with your judgement of the team, and you could be sacked.

I encourage you to leave your thoughts and experiences with Liverpool in the comments!

Sparta Prague Guide for FM16

Brief History

AC Sparta Praha has been the most outstanding and, on the playing field, the most successful club in Czech football. There have been many successes in both domestic and international competitions throughout its more than 120-year history.

Shortly after World War I, a team was put together that triggered off the famous period of the twenties and thirties referred to as "Iron Sparta". A football league in Czechoslovakia was established in the mid-twenties and the club collected title after title. To this day the fans still recall the names of the players of that period with admiration: Peyer, Hojer, Perner, Káďa, Kolenatý, Červený. A few years later, some no less famous names appeared, such as Hochman, Burgr, Hajný, Šíma, Silný, Čtyřoký, Košťálek and in particular Oldřich Nejedlý, the top scorer at the 1934 World Cup. Shortly before this most famous era kicked off, Vlasta Burian, the man who later became the king of Czech comedians, played in goal for the club.

The milestones of the first golden period of the club's history are two Central European Cup titles, which in the twenties and the thirties enjoyed the same recognition as that of today's Champions League. Sparta's three titles are definitely important milestones in the cup's history. After two triumphs in 1927 and 1935, the third came in 1964, at a time when the cup's importance was gradually falling in the light of other European cups.

In the recent history of the Czech Republic, Sparta has clearly been dominant in the domestic league and has regularly represented Czech football in UEFA competitions (Champions League, UEFA Cup and Europa League), where it has also recorded many successes. In the 2013/2014 season Sparta won the 36th title of the Czech Champions.

Founded: 16 November 1893
Ground: GENERALI Arena
Capacity: 18994
Chairman: Daniel Křetínský
Manager: Zdeněk Ščasný
Captain: David Lafata
League: SYNOT liga

Finances and Budget

If you start a new save with Sparta you will play for the richest club in Czech. You will have more than 9M overall balance and 1.3M transfer budget. The wage budget is nearly 120K per week.

The club will play in Champions League qualification in the first season so if you progress to the Group Stage there will be a major financial boost.

Board Expectations and Media Prediction

The minimum expectation for the domestic league is that the team win the SYNOT liga. There is also domestic cup and the minimum expectation is that the team reach the Final. The minimum expectation for Champions League is that the team reach the Group Stage.

Media predict that Sparta will finish the first season as 2nd in the league behind Viktoria Plzeň.

Strongest Tactic for default roster

The best formation for default roster is 4-3-3 with 2x WB, 2x CD, 3x CM (one of them is like BWM), 2x Wingers and 1x Complete Forward. This tactic could be considered as 4-1-2-2-1 or 4-5-1 but the basics of formation are set as 4-3-3. The Winger’s position could be change to Inside Forward.

Starting XI Positional Analysis

Goalkeeper:
The number one is David Bičík. He is an experienced player (34 years old). He is very good at one on ones and he is able to throw the ball from the penalty area across the half of the pitch. He has also good reflexes.

Wing Back – Left:
The first choice should be Costa Nhamoinesu, 29 years old defender from Zimbabwe could play also as a central defender which is his main position in real life for the 2015/2016 season with Sparta. He is very strong and fast but he occasionally makes an unnecessary mistake. There is an issue with Costa’s contract in default database where is set that he wants to leave the club after the first season and he is not willing to renew contract.

Central Defenders:
You have Jakub Brabec and Mario Holek. Brabec is a former Czech Under-21 captain and he is a very promising player who can score goals in set piece situations. Mario Holek is a former defensive midfielder and average central defender. He lacks aggressiveness and strength.

Wing Back – Right:
The biggest weakness of the squad after the departure of starlet Pavel Kadeřábek to Hoffenheim in summer 2015. You could use Markus Steinhöfer, but he is not good enough. The best choice is Martin Frýdek, but he is originally best used as a left back or left winger and he can also play as central midfielder. The other choice is Lukáš Mareček who is a natural central midfielder but he can play there as well.

Ball Winning Midfielder:
Petr Jiráček is the best player for this position at the start of the game because Lukáš Vácha is injured for 6 to 7 months. Jiráček is former Wolfsburg and HSV player and he is strong in tackling, marking and he is a great team player with his fantastic work rate.

Deep Lying Playmaker:
Marek Matějovský. The first player who comes to mind. His decisions and composure is by far the best in the league. He is able to find teammates in the best scoring positions.

Advanced Playmaker:
One of the vice captains of the team is Bořek Dočkal and he is also one of the key members of the Czech national team. He is a very effective player who can score many goals and can also make many assists. He could be the most important player for you.

Wingers:
Ladislav Krejčí on the left side and Kehinde Fatai on the right side. Fatai is a natural striker but he is very good as a winger or inside forward as well. He is fast and he could score many goals. Krejčí is a great dribbler and he is the most valued player of the team at 3.1M.

Complete Forward:
This is the place for club's captain David Lafata. He scored the most goals in the history of the Czech first division. He can score from every position of the penalty area using his head or both his feet. He also works very hard for the team.

Weaknesses and Potential Strengthening

The biggest weakness is your Right Back position, because you have to use a player who is a natural midfielder instead. The only natural Right Back in the team, Markus Steinhöfer, is not good enough.

The team would also need a stronger Central Defender as first option and a Left Winger as a backup of Ladislav Krejčí. You could sign CB Ondřej Mazuch on a free, but you'll have to wait up to 5 months until he recovers from injury.

Summary

AC Sparta Prague is the most successful club in the Czech football history and there is big assumption you will be the dominant club in domestic competitions. The big challenge is to progress to the Champions League Group Stage where Sparta failed to qualify for over the last 10 years.

Premier League Week 15 Predictions

$
0
0
The 2015-16 Premier League season is heading into its busy winter period as we start the first weekend of games in December 2015.

It's the most open campaign in history with few journalists bold enough to make a prediction of who the eventual winner will be this season with only four points separating the top five, and Liverpool in sixth cannot be discounted.

It promises to continue to be an unpredictable season; much like a game of poker at your local casino (check some casino games out over at http://casinoservice.org/spilleautomater if you want to see what we're on about).

With that in mind, here is a look at some of the important matches this weekend:

Stoke City vs Manchester City

The Premier League weekend kicks off at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday lunchtime as Stoke City entertain the leaders Manchester City.

Mark Hughes faces his former side with a team that were beaten 2-0 at Sunderland last weekend. Ryan Shawcross saw his marching honours in this game and will be suspended for the visit of City – a hugh blow.

Stoke have a good home recover of Manchester City in recent seasons but will do well to get anything from this game without Shawcross and as the league's lowest goalscorers.

Manchester City have David Silva back and Kevin De Bruyne is in fine form. They should be good enough to send a message to the rest of the league with three points this weekend.

Best bet: Manchester City to win 7/10.

Southampton vs Aston Villa

Southampton have had a tough week – beaten 3-1 at Manchester City last weekend and humilated 6-1 at home by Liverpool in the Capital One Cup midweek.

Aston Villa offer them an easy three points to get the Saints back to winning ways; Remi Garde's side are winless in their last 13 Premier League matches and suffered a 4-0 thrashing at Everton in their last away match.

Last weekend Villa were beaten 2-3 at home by Watford. They only have one clean sheet since the opening day of the season and only Stoke City have scored fewer goals than them after 14 matches.

This should be a comfortable home win for Southampton who have Graziano Pelle back and with Jose Fonte as their only regular first-team player this season, doubtful.

Best bet: Southampton to win 8/15

Swansea City vs Leicester City

Leicester showed they were no fluke in holding Manchester United to a draw last weekend, which sees Claudio Ranieri's side in second place in the table heading into this weekend's fixtures.

The future of Swansea City boss Garry Monk has come under heavy speculation for more than a month now following his side's poor form. The Swans have taken only one point from their last four games and are only four points above the drop zone.

Both of these sides play attractive football and Leicester City are one of only four teams in Europe's top five leagues to have scored in every game so far this season. This should be an exciting game with lots of goals.

Best bet: Over 2.5 goals

Newcastle United vs Liverpool

Hapless Newcastle begin the weekend in the relegation zone facing one of the in-form teams in the Premier League's only Sunday game this weekend.

Liverpool have won three of their last four in the league and hammered Southampton 6-1 in the Capital One Cup midweek.

The Newcastle defence and team in general have not been very well organised this season, conceding a joint-league high 30 goals after 14 matches and with the worst goal difference in the league.

Jurgen Klopp's side should not only win this match but win it handsomely.

Best bets: Liverpool to win 4/6, Liverpool to win -1.5 goals 13/8, Liverpool to win -2.5 goals 23/5
