Why hello viewers and FMScout Community. Yes, you are probably thinking “my god, its back!” and, boy, are you correct. The last few editions have been stop start, and extremely inconsistent. However, with the new season of FM-ing upon us, it is time for a new start – and a new team of FM Weekly writers! I would like to introduce our “head writer” No1VillaFan, who will be overseeing the whole process. Then we have myself – Tallery - AlexTHFC and AaronJFT96, who make up your quartet of Weekly writers! We will be rotating each week, and you have moi kicking it off this week, so let’s get cracking!
First off, we have Zap’s tale. For his first FM15 story, he has taken control of Scottish Club Heart of Midlothian, or Hearts as it is better known. Relegated due to financial difficulties last season, goalkeeper Neil Alexander was employed as player-manager to try to get them back to where they belong.
One season in, and Hearts are back in the big time, also known as the Scottish Premiership, for next season. Winning the Championship with a win over rivals Glasgow Rangers, Alexander was branded “The Saviour” by the fans.
Zap’s writing style is a fantastic; bringing short, sharp updates packed with really useful information to the table. Zap has had many stories, but this one, in my opinion, is by far the best, with a good use of graphics too. The updates are well structured, and an easy read, while telling the reader everything they need to know. Overall, a very interesting read.

The story is only wee, as the Scottish would say, but is already made an impact on the FMScout community. The title has certainly been thought about, combining a classic English football phrase with the club, Borussia Dortmund’s geographical location. Jurgen Klopp and his men will be looking to keep up with worldwide heavyweights Bayern Munich this season, a task that seems almost as impossible as Burton Albion reaching the Premier League.
Aaron’s updates have words by the many, but this shouldn’t put you off, oh no. The updates are really nicely laid out, easy to digest and have plenty of detail for you to set your eyes on. Each instalment is typed with care and passion, and it is clearly visible when reading through. The graphics are also on point, with the banner being a prime example of this. Another story which really could grow and go on to be one of FMScout’s greats.

MrJK created possibly the hardest challenge ever a few years back, and after a few attempts, he has finally decided to give it a proper crack this year, and has promised to make it his only save in a desperate attempt to get the challenge completed. His aim: “I will be managing in every league possible around the world and winning the top league in each nation alphabetically.” A challenge that also seems as impossible as Burton Albion reaching the Premier League!
However, now at R.S.C. Anderlecht in Belgium in , he is looking to impose himself on one of Europe’s top league, after collecting many titles across the board, including Brazil and Australia, but also took nations like Azerbaijan and Andorra by a storm.
The story, or challenge, is definitely entertaining, but lacks a bit of detail, but that is understandable considering the monstrous size of the challenge. The graphics also lack slightly, but a snazzy banner makes up for that shortfall. One bonus is that you can witness the tale unfold live on Twitch, which really sets it apart from other adventures. Overall, a very interesting concept, but on the writing front, it finds its shortfall.

Basham is relatively new to the site compared to the other writers featured here, but has certainly fit in quickly and made a huge impact with his story writing. His latest tale follows the adventure of foul-mouthed Darius Xavier who took charge of footballing minnow Woking Town, in a bid to lead them to glory.
After leading Woking to the FA Trophy and promotion, he left the club and joined Watford, where he lead the team to Sky Bet Championship glory and the promise land of the Premier League, but quit the post to take over at Feyenoord, where he wants to lead the club to Champions League glory.
In terms of the updates, they are solid, gripping and vastly entertaining. They show detail and passion for the save, which means that the reader will relate to the save as much as the player. However, the graphics let the story down a little, personally. Being what I would consider a Graphic Expert (big-headed, I know) they are simple and effective, but could achieve so much more. Overall, a very entertaining story, like every one should, just requires that little bit of extra detail to take it to the next level
