How to install real pitch patterns in FM17

1. Exit FM17.
   
2. Extract the contents of the downloaded .zip file.
   
3. Move the "patterns" folder to the following location:
   
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Football Manager 2017\data\sigfx\textures\pitch\

4. Replace/overwrite when asked.
   
5. Open FM17 and go to preferences screen, interface tab. Clear Cache & Reload skin.

Hey guys.
This is my 4-2-2-2 Narrow formation. My intention was to create a tactic which is possession based but can still score loads of goals. The possession part is a 50-50%. Sometimes you will dominate your opposition, but you could also get a open game. But I can assure you that you will score goals. I'm using this tactic with Real Sociedad now in my 5th season and we were always the top scoring team (except season two that was just bs and I almost got sacked).

Italian "Tiki-Taka", well not quite. At least I was not trying to create something like that, but it seems that I did something similar. In my first season I conceded a lot of goals, so I switched to three CBs, also I had more strikers but had no quality wingers and no money so I had to try something different.

There is the conception that every high profile team with high ambitions has to play possession based football(not my style), so I had to adapt and I decided to play in a formation like Juve, but with higher possession of the ball and more aggressive.

Against bigger clubs I use Counter mentality and for the Match preparation I do Defensive positioning.

Against smaller teams i use Attacking mentality and for the Match preparation I use Teamwork.



When I am using Counter mentality and I concede a goal, I change it to Attacking to score a goal obviously.

When I am using Attacking mentality and I have positive result like 2:0, I change it to Counter usually at half time.



As for personal training, I always do it myself and I train my players for positions I use in my formations.

How to install new enhanced 3D balls on FM17

1. Use a tool such as 7-zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for MacOSX to extract the contents of the downloaded .rar file.
2. Open the folder of the ball you wish to use.
3. Go to Steam/steamapps/common/Football Manager 2017/data/sigfx/mesh/ball
4. Backup the whiteball texture.
5. Install the white texture from your chosen ball folder by overwriting the original files.
