Step 1

Download the skin and extract the file (using either 7-Zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac).

Step 2

Place the "helveticalite" folder into your skins folder:

Windows: \Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2015\skins
Mac OS X: /Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/skins

Create the folder "skins" if it doesn't exist.

Step 3

Start the game and go to Preferences screen and Interface tab.
You should see "HelveticaLite Instant Result" as option in the skin drop down of the Overview box.
Hit the Confirm button.

Here is a list of the tweaks applied to the initial version.

• Original Base skin used
• Added code for permanent mini sidebar
• Replaced background to something more neutral
• Added kit image in titlebar
• Rearranged header so navigation controls are all on right side of screen
• Changed current date panel to have transparent background and change colour based on secondary colour of team
• Added Instant Result button
• Replaced Main Menu screen
• Added player profile panels
• Few misc alterations

The demo offers a half-season (in-game) taster of the game, which is enough time for you to dust off your managerial cobwebs, and hit the ground running in your new FM 2015 career.

Demos include quick-starts for the world's biggest leagues, giving players a chance to try out their skills with teams from multiple countries.

This is by far the most in-depth and well-presented list of cheap quality players in Football Manager 2015. I'll be updating this list often to reflect all official data updates.

It took me several days to compose this list of players for you and made sure it's as accurate as possible. If you find any typos or inconsistencies, please comment.

This is the first edition, including over 520 players!
Updates will be applied from to time to ensure I'm not missing any players worthy of appearing here.

This article is the successor of our popular lists FM 2014 top bargains and FM 2013 top bargains.

What are top bargains?

Top bargains means quality players you can get for a relatively cheap price.
For this list I filtered players up to the age of 33, with initial value of less than 2.5M and initial wage of less than 15K.
There are no free agents here, but you'll find players who also appear on my FM15 wonderkids list.

What does the rating mean?

It's a recommendation system for your convenience. I'm using a 1-100 scale and I'll explain now how I've chosen these ratings based on English divisions.
80+ all-time elite
77-79 top player for 1st division teams
74-76 solid backup for 1st division teams
71-73 top player for 2nd division teams
70- top player for 3rd division teams and below

Click on the table headers (name, age, etc) for easy sorting.
You can also sort by multiple columns if you press and hold Shift while clicking the headers.

Step 1

Download the skin and extract the downloaded files (using either 7-Zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac).

Step 2

Place the extracted folders into your backgrounds folder:

Season 2014-2015

DF11 is a portrait style facepack that initiated production since October 2010.
The DF11 crew do release regular updates to keep their faces up to date as much as possible.
There is a large amount of 70.000 DF11 faces available at the moment.





DF11 faces are 260 x 310 pixels big, which is (a lot) larger than default size (180 x 180).
There will be special DF11 panels available shortly after the release of the new Football Manager game.
These panels will show the DF11 faces in their original big size.

Without these panels the faces will be shown as usual in game.

This is a stand-alone pack intended for use with Football Manager 2015.
DF11 faces will also work with any other version of Football Manager!

1 - This is a torrent (magnet link) download!
You need a torrent client on board of your pc to download this DF11 Megapack.

We recommend qBittorrent and Bittorrent as possible torrent client.
There are several more torrent clients (Vuze, Deluge, Utorrent etc), and all will work fine when installed properly.

2- You need 6GB free diskspace on board of your computer.
It seems to be a lot, but it doesn't affect the gamespeed of Football manager!
None of any graphical additions will affect the gamespeed of FM.
Only the start-up time will be affected by a couple of seconds. (confirmed by SI)

3 - The 'torrent download' will start after 'clicking' the red 'DOWNLOAD NOW' button on top.

4 - Add the downloaded 'DF11 Megapack folder' into:
documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2015\Graphics

Note: You have to make the 'Graphics' folder by yourself!

Most frequently asked questions:

How to install the DF11 Megapack & updates?
- Please download the 'instructions manual'.
When installed correctly, you will have one (1) DF11 Megapack folder that includes
all 70.000 faces plus one (1) config file.

I don't have a 'Graphics' folder in my Football Manager game.
- That's correctly!
After installing Football Manager you will have to add the 'Graphics' folder yourself. (show spoiler)

Simply make a new folder with your operating system (windows) and rename it as "Graphics".

When done you'll add this folder to the following Football Manager folder adress:
documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 20**\Graphics

I don't see any DF11 faces after installing the DF11 Megapack.
- Be sure you've set the ingame settings correctly. (show spoiler)

I still don't see any DF11 faces in game.
- Maybe the config file is defective and not working correctly.
Make a new config file to replace the defective one.

There is a short 'config file' tutorial available in the spoiler below.

Download + install the program 'FMXML'.
Follow the steps of the image below. Starting at step 3 and further on.

Some particular face(s) don't show up in game while they are included to the DF11 Megapack.
- It simply happends sometimes.
Most of the times we can fix this issue by replacing the defective face with a new one.

The FM2015 Editor also known as the FM15 pre-game data editor is a powerful editing tool that allows the user to modify the Football Manager 2015 database.

It is available for free as a separate download for anyone who has bought FM15 through Steam library under tools.

How to find it in a glance:
Open Steam -> Library -> Tools -> Football Manager 2015 Editor

Step by Step

Step 1: Open Steam (the Steam client, not the website)

Step 2: Hover over the "Library" button until the drop-down menu shows.

Step 3: Click on "Tools" from the drop-down menu.



Step 4: Scroll down until you find "Football Manager 2015 Editor"



Step 5: Double click, or right click and select Install "Football Manager 2015 Editor" and follow the instructions.



The initial run may require to install direct X files.


And that's all, have fun editing yourselves into the game, or unlocking new leagues to play as!

For optimal performance it is recommended that you use the FM2015 Editor on a high-end machine with at least 2GB RAM or more.

FM15 Editor FAQ

How do I load the file I created into my game inside FM?

When clicking 'New Game' inside FM, you will get a dialog box appear called Choose Database. Notice in this box it will have section saying Editor Data Files and a 'Change' tick button. Clicking this button will allow you to select which of your files to load into your game.

Where Should I save files to?

Whether you have created the files yourself or downloaded them they need to be placed in the following locations for them to be loaded into the game.

Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2015 > editor data

Remember when saving files you have created yourself always use the File > Save As within the editor.

I have created a player with a Current Ability (CA) of 200 and gave him all 20 attributes, why has this not worked in the game?

This is due to the weighting of the attributes, some of them have more weighting (e.g physical) take up more points than others (technical & mental). To make a player as effective as possible, give higher attributes to key areas depending on the players position e.g. a striker will need higher finishing, first touch, technique & composure but could have low Free Kicks, Throw Ins, Corners & Marking.

What are the boundaries for minus potential?

-10 = 170-200 PA
-9 = 150-180 PA
-8 = 130-160 PA
-7 = 110-140 PA
-6 = 90-120 PA
-5 = 70-100 PA
-4 = 50-80 PA
-3 = 30-60 PA
-2 = 10-40 PA
-1 = 0-20 PA

Hi guys, I usually don't post tactics or better I never did it, but I think this one is pretty good or at least it worked really well to me in my very first season with FM15, so I wanted to share it.

I tried to do the best work possible and I'm pretty happy with it. Please try it and let me know anything about it, it means so much to me if you can also give your suggestion to improve it. Since tactics system is changed this year, it would be nice if this one became a pillar of FM15 new tactics.

I started using this with AC Fiorentina.
As the name says, the most important elements in this tactic are the Wings. In particular, the right one. Since I had Cuadrado, one of the best right wing of the game this year to me, I decided to set my tactic to play mostly towards the right side, so we can surely say that the Right Wing is the most important player of your team using this tactic. Choose him wisely.

Squad Instructions

Starting from the left column:
We're gonna use Short Passing to keep the ball with easy on foot passes, forcing the opponent midfielders (and defenders too) to try to catch the ball in this short distances, so we can create space between them and especially when our team bandy with the ball in the limits of the field this allows our wings to have more free space.

Play Out of Defence is set for the same reason; we're not gonna try long throws, but we'll come gradually where we want to come. And as said, we will Pass into Space as soon as we find the right spot.

Play Wider is really useful to create space between our opponent too, but the main thing is that our Wings will stay the widest possible trying to avoid the right/left fullback's marking.

Close Down More is set to make us quickly recovering the ball to impose our game and in my tactic it was helpful so many times to catch the ball in the opponent defending side putting us in a situation where the defense is broken and we have three attacking players we can give the ball in a real win-win situation; it is supported by Use Tighter Marking.

To hold up all of this we're gonna play with a Higher Tempo.

This was one of my typical 11 starters

Let's have a look to every player role:
The Goal Keeper will have default settings.

The Left Back will be set as Automatic Full Back with these tasks:
Pass it Shorter - Cross More Often - Stay Wider - Cut Inside With Ball
This is the more offensive of the two full backs.
The key attributes are: Crossing - Tackling - Concentration - Team Work - Acceleration - Stamina
Good examples can be: Davide Santon, Lucas Digne, Alberto Moreno, Massadio Haidara

The Central Backs will be both set as Defend Centre Defender but one of them will just have the Pass it Shorter task, the other one will have these tasks:
Pass it Shorter - Close Down More - Mark Tighter
These ones are usually the classic center backs, but it's better having the first one more technique and the second one more "classic".
The key attributes are: Heading - Marking - Tackling - Anticipation - Bravery - Concentration - Positioning - Strength - (Passing)
Good examples can be: Eder Alvarez Balanta, Eliaquim Mangala, Samuel Umtiti, Leonardo Bonucci, Phil Jones

The Right Back will be set as Defend Limited Full Back with these tasks:
Close Down More - Sit Narrower
This is the defensive full back. Maybe you are wondering why he's set with defending tasks if the main game of the tactic will be developed on the right. First of all, don't expect to see every offensive actions on your right side. By the way, this is because in a right side that is a full-attacking one where we'll take the greater number of risks, we need to have a more covered defending spot; this will be a very important player, in fact we make him sit narrower so it's easier for him to immediately pass every ball he catches in the midfield to start our game.
The key attributes are: First Touch - Marking - Tackling - Anticipation - Decisions - Positioning - Agility - Stamina
Good examples can be: Bacary Sagna, Micah Richards, Kyle Walker, Glen Johnson, Sebastien Corchia, Lorenzo De Silvestri

The Central Defensive Midfielder will be set as Support Ball Winning Midfielder with no particular tasks.
This is the typical ball catcher who fluctuates between defense and midfield. Nothing simpler than that, but just like one of our central defenders, it's not a bad thing if he has a good technique too.
The key attributes are the standard ones for this role.
Good examples can be: Victor Wanyama, Nigel de Jong, Alex Song, Daniele De Rossi

The Centre Left Midfielder will be set as Support Box to Box Midfielder with these tasks:
Close Down More - Pass it Shoter - Move Into Channels - Run Wide With Ball
This is our acrobatic player in the midfield. He will move to space, trying to cut in the area when our attacks will occasionally go through the center, going back to catch some ball and moving to the ball all around to create the space for the other offensive players.
The key attributes are the First Touch - Passing - Tackling - Bravery - Off The Ball - Work Rate - Acceleration - Stamina
Good examples can be: Claudio Marchisio, Pedro Obiang, Aaron Ramsey, Kevin Strootman

The Centre Right Midfielder will be set as Support Advanced Playmaker with just two tasks:
Pass it Shoter - Cross From Deep
Our classic playmaker. Not many tasks for him because what he does by default is exactly what we need. Crossing from deep is really more important than you could think, in particular it's useful to unlock our wing's movement or chip in over the defense to the striker when the opponent squad brilliantly covers all the field and there is no much space.
The key attributes are the Crossing - First Touch - Passing - Technique - Decisions - Flair - Team Work - Vision - Agility
Good examples can be: Jack Wilshere - Andrea Pirlo - Borja Valero, Marco Verratti, Toni Kroos

The Left Wing will be set as Support Inside Forward with standard tasks.
This is our "fake" wing. This is not the classic wing as we know it, but he's a complete forward who will dictate the tempo when the ball comes on the left side. He can cut in the area or converge to midfield to create space from the advancing left back or to do to other things: playing with the two midfielders or trying a long shot; he must be a very quality player, personally I found in Gabbiadini a really solid (and cheaper) one. This guy is able to do everything.
The key attributes are the Finishing - First Touch - Long Shots - Passing - Technique - Composure - Flair - Off The Ball - Vision - Agility - Acceleration - Stamina
Good examples can be: Manolo Gabbiadini, Lukas Podolski, Memphis Depay, Antoine Griezmann

The Right Wing will be set as Attack Winger with two tasks.
Close Down More - Roam From Position
And here we are, our man. He can go wherever he wants, finding the best spot to attack but you will see him often starting to very right side to converge into the area. He will receive the ball on the run trying to make the most possible damage with his pace. The close down more task won't allow the opponent defenders to breathe a second and I saw many times Cuadrado catching the ball from the left back and then going to score a solo goal.
The key attributes are the Crossing - Dribbling - First Touch - Technique - Anticipation - Flair - Off The Ball - Acceleration - Agility - Pace
Good examples can be: Juan Cuadrado, Carlos Vela, Arjen Robben

The Central Forward will be set as Attack Poacher with two tasks.
Pass It Shorter - Move Into Channel
The "one ball-one goal striker". Make sure to choose a forward able to score in every way; finishing is clearly the most important attribute for him. Believe me, if the tactic works, he will receive so many balls to put in the box. Many times my striker went out of the area playing at its limits and with a short pass find the wing on the run or lending support to the playmaker who could chip the ball to the winger aswell.
The key attributes are the Finishing - First Touch - Heading - Anticipation - Concentration - Off The Ball - Agility - Strength
Good examples can be: Mattia Destro, Luis Suarez, David Villa, Loic Remy, Miroslav Klose

In Game handling

I was used to make some devices during the game and they was always the same because they seem to work good. Especially in the first part of the first half, at about the 15-20th minute, if I was seeing that our Ball Possesion was growing I put Retain Possession, Stay Higher and Work Ball Into Box; I also changed Mentality from Control to Attacking many times, you can do it if you have the midfield domain and by the way it depends on the feelings you have about the match.

If I was seeing our shoots growing but not the ones on target, I put Look For Overlap to insist in having more options to bring the ball in the area getting more chances to score.

If you are drawing a match with a team you believe it's weaker, Overload is an option you have to consider; I did it like 10-12 times and 5-6 I do score the leading goal and however I didn't remember any big mess with a counter attack because we was all forward; use it from the 70th minute on.

To defend your winning score, at about 75-80th minute stop the Look For Overlap and the Work Ball Into Box tasks. Go back to Control or even to Defensive if the opponent squad is closer to your team skill level and select Retain Possession (if you are not already using it), Lower Tempo, Stay On Feet, Be More Disciplined.

This is a classic goal situation starting from the midfield that happens using my tactic.
Our Central Defensive Midfielder wins a disputed ball and immediately pass to our Centre Forward who goes back before the opponent defenders and he leans the ball for our Midfielder, immediately ready to jump the opponent defensive side with a high fast ball for our Right Wing who runs into the area and scores with a crossing shoot.

The wait is finally over, Football Manager 2015 is officially out now! The final version is now available via Steam. The most realistic and immersive FM to date.

If you've pre-purchased digitally from our store recently, just restart Steam and your update should begin automatically. If that doesn't do the trick, quit Steam and re-open it.
The version number of your full game will be 15.1.1.

It will recognize your beta save game and will allow you to continue playing from where you left off in your beta game.

If you're buying your activation code now, please follow the steps below to activate the game:

• Download the Steam client.
• Install Steam on your computer.
• Once installed, open up Steam.
• Go to +ADD A GAME at the bottom-left of the window.
• Then select Activate a product on Steam.
• Enter your activation Code.

Steam should now download your game.

If you've used a beta access code and have now received your boxed copy from another retailer, you just need to follow the "Add a game" -> "Activate a product" steps on your Steam client and enter the code from the back of the manual.

Step 1

Download the skin and extract the file (using either 7-Zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac).

Step 2

Place the "helveticalite_two" folder into your skins folder:

Windows: \Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2015\skins
Mac OS X: /Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/skins

Create the folder "skins" if it doesn't exist.

Step 3

Start the game and go to Preferences screen and Interface tab.
You should see "HelveticaLite 2.0" as option in the skin drop down of the Overview box.
Hit the Clear Cache button and then the Confirm button.

Please note this skin is provided as is. It has nothing to do with Sports Interactive or SEGA and won't be supported by them.

How to add these in your FM

Step 1

Download the .rar archive and use a tool such as 7-zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for MacOSX to extract the folders.

Step 2

Cut and paste the extracted folder(s) to:
Windows: \Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2015\graphics\logos\
Mac OS X: /Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/graphics/logos/

Create folders "graphics" and "logos" if they don't exist already.

Step 3

Run Football Manager 2015 and go to: Preferences > Interface

Click Using caching to decrease page loading times "OFF"
Click Reload Skin when confirming changes in preferences "ON"
Confirm!
